FOOTBALL BASICS
AGES 7-9
Building Strong Football Foundations
At this stage, children are introduced to a wider range of movement and core football scenarios, helping them develop key skills in a fun and engaging environment.
We understand that players at this age are still developing socially and often prefer to have the ball themselves. That's why our program is designed to keep each child actively involved, focusing on ball control and individual play before introducing more teamwork concepts.
Core Development:
- Dribbling and ball control games
- Passing, receiving, and shooting drills
- Tackling and ball-winning activities
- Small-sided games (2v2, 2v1) to promote decision-making
This program lays the groundwork for more advanced tactical play and helps young players transition smoothly into the next stage of development.
SKILLS DEVELOPMENT
AGES 10-11
Building Strong Football Foundations
Often called the "golden age of motor learning," this stage is marked by high motivation, growing commitment, and a desire to perform well. Players are eager to improve, work hard in training, and demonstrate their skills in games.
Building on the fundamentals from the Football Basics Program, players at this level are ready to handle more complex game situations and decision-making.
Football is about reading the game and reacting effectively. We focus on developing game intelligence through three key scenarios:
- Loose-Ball Games – Competing for possession when the ball is free; winning loose balls often decides the outcome.
- Attacking Games – Making smart decisions while in possession and creating scoring opportunities.
- Defensive Games – Organising quickly without the ball to block, press, and prevent goals.
Players enhance their ability to scan the field, assess teammates and opponents, and respond based on speed, direction, and space—essential skills for tactical growth.
GAME DEVELOPMENT
AGES 12-14+
At this stage, players develop a lasting passion for football through engaging, well-structured programs that match their interests and goals.
Building on the Football Skills Program, players are now ready for more advanced, tactical play. They respond well to teamwork and collaborative training, making this an ideal age to strengthen team concepts.
